Himachal Pradesh has both natural and man-made lakes. The major lakes here are as follows:

1. Manimahesh Lake - Manimahesh Lake -  This lake  is located in Bharmour sub-division, 100 km from Chamba . The lake has a height of 4200 meters above sea level   . The approximate diameter of this lake is one km. Every year devotees visit the Manimahesh Yatra on the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami.

2. Khajjjar Lake - Khajiaar Lake -  This lake  Chamba  is located in Dalhousie sub-division 27 km from . Here is the temple of Khajinagar. This lake is at an altitude of 1920 m above sea level. Due to the unique beauty of this lake, Khajiyar is also known as Mini Switzerland of Himachal. The area of ​​this lake is 5 hectares.

3. Lama Dal Lake -  This lake is in  Bharmour sub-division  . It is at an altitude of 3,640 meters above sea level. Lama Dal Lake is a group of eight lakes. The total area of ​​this lake group is about 32 hectares. This lake group is known as Nag Il and Nag Chhatri Dal. Lama Dal Lake has a diameter of 2 km in this group. This lake falls in the Dhauladhar mountain range. There is a small Shiva temple here.

4. Khundi Mral Lake  This lake is in the Khundi Maral Chanju Panchayat of the Churah Valley. This lake is situated at an altitude of 4,355 meters above sea level. This lake is famous by the name of Bhagwati Kali. This lake is spread over an area of ​​3 hectares.

5. Gudasaru Lake Mahadev (Gudasaru Lake) -  This lake is about 4280 meters above sea level. The circumference of this lake is about one km, ie two hectares.

6. Mahalnaag Dal Lake -  This lake   is situated on the Maihalwar Dhar in the Churah Valley of Chamba District. This lake is known as Nag Devta.

7. Baisakhi Chamunda Dal Lake, Baisakhi Chamunda Lake -  This lake   falls in the Churah Valley on the ancient victory of Chamba District.

8. Kalika Dal Lake  This lake falls in the Churah valley on Nosaradhar.

9. Chandratal Lake Lahaul (Chandral tal Lake) -  This lake is formed when the Chandra river meets Chandratal. Chandratal lake is 13 km from Kunjam Pass connecting Lahaul and Spiti. Baralacha is about 30 km from the source of origin. After traveling to Chandra, the river Chandra joins the Chandra Dal lake. This lake is 4280 meters above sea level. Is at a height. The diameter of this lake is 49 hectares.

10. Suraj Tal Lake - Suraj Tal -  After leaving Baralacha, Bhaga River forms Surajtal Lake. It is at an altitude of 4800 meters above sea level. This lake is spread over 3 hectares. This lake falls on the mountainous coast below Baralacha rates in Lahaul sub-division. The Baralacha Pass connects the Manali-Lahaul-Leh-Ladakh road. The scenic view of Surajtal Lake is seen from this road.

11. Dekhar Lake, Dankhar Lake -  This lake   is located in the Spiti sub - division of Lahaul-Spiti .

12. Neelkanth Lake, Lahaul-Spiti (Neelkanth Lake) -  It is situated at a distance of about 140 km from Manali. It is 3900 m above sea level. Are located at an altitude of. This lake of Lahaul valley remains covered in snow for 6 months.

13. Chandranahan Lake, Chandranahan Lake -  This lake is located at a height of 3960 meters above sea level in the valley named Chancel of Rohdu sub-division. This lake is also the source of Pabbar river. This place is also called Charmai Tal. The diameter of this lake is one hectare. 

14. Tanu Jubbal Lake, Narkanda, Shimla -  This lake is   located at a distance of 68 km from Shimla . This lake is close to Hatu, a major tourist destination. This lake is situated at an altitude of 2708 meters above sea level.

15. Rewalsar Lake, Rewalsar Lake -  This lake is famous as Triveni of three religions Buddhist, Hindu and Sikh. This lake is situated at an altitude of 1320 meters above sea level. The famous Buddhist fair, Chheshch, is celebrated here. The Rivalsar lake is known as "Chho Padma" in the Tibetan community.  In 1685 AD, Guru Gobind Singh went to see the Rivalsar lake. This lake is   also called floating island lake . The diameter of this lake is 3 hectares.

Parashar Lake, Parashar Lake -  This lake, known as Maharishi Parashar, is at an altitude of 2600 meters above sea level. This lake   is 40 km from Mandi . Along with this lake is a grand temple built in the pagoda style of Parashar Rishi. The periphery of this lake is about half a km ie one hectare.

17. Kumarawah Lake, Kumarwah Lake -  Kumarawah Lake is famous by the name of Kamru Devta. This lake   is 40 km from Mandi . Kamru Devta has dominion in the Chachyot of Mandi. This lake is in the Chachyot tehsil of Mandi district . This lake is at an altitude of 3150 meters above sea level.    

18. Sukhsar Lake -  This lake is situated at an altitude of 1760 meters above sea level on the peaks of the town of Rivalsar.

19. Dal Lake, Dal Lake -  This lake is located in the Dhauladhar mountain range at a distance of 11 km from Dharamshala. It is situated at an altitude of 1840 meters above sea level. Its diameter is 2 hectares. There is a Shiva temple on the northern side of this lake.

20. Kareri Lake, Kareri Lake -  This lake is located at a distance of 28 km from Dharamshala. This Thail is located at an altitude of 2960 meters above sea level. Its diameter is 3.5 hectares. There is also a Shiva temple on the banks of this lake.

21. Bhrigu Lake, Brigm Lake -  This lake is located 13 km from Manali at a height of 4,240 meters above sea level near the specific village. The Beas of this lake is 3 hectares. It is a grand tourist destination. This lake is famous as Maharishi Bhrigu, the father of Venus. It is believed that every year 20 deities come to the lake to bathe in the lake.

22. Dussehra Lake (Dusher Lake) -  The lake also  Manali  is located at Rohtang Pass near. This lake is located at an altitude of 4200 meters above sea level. Both Bhrigu and Dushar lakes are important from the point of view of tourism. Dashahar lake has a diameter of 4 hectares.

23. Nansar Lake, Nansar Lake -  This lake is situated in the Outer Siraj between Bhima Dwar and Srikhand Mountains. This lake has a height of 4000 meters above sea level.

24. Manatalai Lake, Mantilai Lake -  This lake is located in Pin Parvati Valley at an altitude of 4160 meters above sea level. Its diameter is 3 hectares. The Parvati River originates from this lake.

25. Sarvalsar Lake, Senvalsar Lake -  This lake is about 5 km from the Jalodi holdings. Is located at an altitude of 3100 meters above sea level. The perimeter of this lake is about 0.5 hectares. This lake falls in the Banjar subdivision.

26. Sundernagar Lake or Pandoh Lake -  This artificial lake   came into existence due to the construction of a dam on the Beas River at a place called Pandoh . The water flow of the Beas River has been merged with the Sutlej River at a place called Salapad near Pandoh by canals and tunnels. It  is the smallest artificial lake in Himachal . Its length is 14 km.

27. Nako Lake, NakoLake -  This lake  is located in the Hangrang Valley in the Pooh  subdivision . This lake is at an altitude of 3,604 meters above sea level. Its diameter is one hectare. Nako Lake Bhysyin (Tibet) is bordered by the western slope of the Rio Parzial (6,816 m) dividing mountain range. This high peak is also said to be the abode of Lord Parajial.

28. Shree Renuka Ji Lake,  Sirmour  (Ranuka Lake) -  it is 37 km from Nahan Arrondissement on the lake elevation of sea level 6,60 m Is situated at this distance. It is the largest natural lake in Himachal. Renuka Lake ranks thirteenth in the world's natural lakes census. The diameter of this lake is about 5 hectares. This lake is the only Devsthal in Himachal Pradesh where the International Shree Renuka Ji Fair is celebrated for five days from Devotthan Ekadashi (Kartik month).

29. Chamera Lake, Chamba Lake -  This lake came into existence after the construction of the Chamera Dam on the Ravi River. This artificial lake is 890 meters above sea level.

30. Pong Lake, Pong Lake -  This lake is 430 meters above sea level. This lake came into existence due to the formation of Maharana Pratap Sagar Dam on the Vyas river. This lake is 42 km long. The diameter of this artificial lake is 21721 hectares.

31. Gobind Sagar Lake,  Bilaspur  (Govind Sagar Lake) -  it is the largest man-made lake in Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh. This lake came into existence due to the construction of Bhakra Dam. The lake is spread over about 1,687 hectares of land. The approximate length of this lake is 168 km. M is. This artificial lake is 673 meters above sea level. The lake is named after the tenth Sikh Guru, Govind Singh Ji.
