Application on the prescribed form as per Annexure-I are invited for filling up of 02 vacant posts of Junior Office Assistant (Information Technology), 02 posts of Clerk, Class-III on contract basis and 02 posts of Peon, Class-IV on Daily Wages Basis under the establishment of this office from amongst the Persons with Disabilities from the eligible applicants. The applicant should possess minimum 40% permanent disability certificate issued by the Competent Medical Board.

1.JOA IT
No. Of Posts:- 02(01 post reserved for Visually impaired , 01 post reserved for Autism intellectual disability etc. and multiple disabilities)

Education Qualification:-
  • Should have passed 10+2 examination from a recognized Board of School Education/ University. OR Matriculation from recognized Board of School Education with one/two year's Diploma/Certificate from an Industrial Training Information Institute (ITI) in Technology (IT) & Information Technology Enabled Sectors (ITES) as notified by Director General of Employment & Training (Govt. of India) from time to time or three years Diploma in Computer Engineering/ Computer Science/IT from a Polytechnic as approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
  •  Computer typing speed of 30 words per minute in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi. Provided that visually impaired persons selected/ recruited under 1% quota will be exempted from acquiring Diploma in Computer Science/ Computer Application/ Information Technology and passing of typing test instead they shall be imparted necessary basic training including computer training course by the Department concerned through Composite Regional Centre (CRC), Sundernagar or National Institute for the Visually Handicapped (NIVH), Dehradun Composite Training Centre (CTC), Ludhiana. They shall have to complete the above training during which three chances will be afforded. If the incumbent fails to qualify the same, his/her services shall be terminated Provided further that differently abled persons who are otherwise qualified to hold clerical post as certified being unable to type, by the Medical Board may be exempted from passing the typing test. The term, differently abled persons does not cover visually impaired persons or persons who are hearing impaired. but cover only those whose physical disability/ deformity permanently prevents them from typing. The above criteria for grant of exemption from passing the typing test shall also be applicable to the Skill Test Norms on Computers.
  • DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION(S):- Knowledge of customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh.
  •  As per Government Notification No. Per(AP)-C-C(17- 2/2018 dated 19-11-2019, a candidate shall be eligible for appointment to Class-III posts, if he/she has passed Matriculation and 10+2 and for Class-IV posts, if he/ she has passed Middle or Matriculation from any School/ Institution situated within Himachal Pradesh. Provided this condition shall not apply to Bonafide Himachalis.
2.Clerk
No. Of Posts:- 02(01 post reserved for Deaf and hard of hearing,
01 post reserved for Locomotor disability)

Education Qualification:-
  • Should have passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent from a recognized Board of School Education/ University.
  • Should posses a minimum computer typing speed of 30 words per minute in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi.
  • Should have knowledge of "Word processing" in computer as prescribed by the Recruiting Agency. 
  • DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION(S):- Knowledge of customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh.
  •  As per Government Notification No. Per(AP)-C-C(17- 2/2018 dated 19-11-2019, a candidate shall be eligible for appointment to Class-III posts, if he/ she has passed Matriculation and 10+2 and for Class-IV posts, if he/she has passed Middle or Matriculation from any School/ Institution situated within Himachal Pradesh. Provided this condition shall not apply to Bonafide Himachalis.
3.Peon
No. Of Posts:- 02(01 post reserved for Deaf and hard of hearing
,01 post reserved for Locomotor disability)

Education Qualification:-
  •  Should have passed Matriculation examination or its equivalent from recognized Board of School Education/ Institution. A candidate shall be eligible for appointment to Class-IV post(s), if he/ she has passed Middle or Matriculation from any School/ Institution situated within Himachal Pradesh. Provided this condition shall not apply to Bonafide Himachalis.
  • DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION(S):- Knowledge of customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh.


Terms & Condition: 

  •   Age of the candidates shall be reckoned as on 01-01-2022. 
  •  As per R&P Rules the minimum age limit is 18 years and maximum 45 years. The upper age is relaxable by five years as per instructions issued vide Office Memorandum No. PER(AP)-C-B(12)-3/2017 dated 22-06-2017 from the Government of Himachal Pradesh Department of Personnel in respect of persons with bench mark disabilities. 
  •  The candidate should be bonafide resident of Himachal Pradesh. 
  •  Candidate can obtain application form by downloading it from the official website of the District Administration, Shimla. http://hpshimla.nic.in 
  •  Application received after due date will be rejected straight away without any intimation to the candidate. 
  •  Any further information can be sought from office of Deputy Commissioner, Shimla, HP (Ph. No. 0177-2657011). 
  •  No TA/DA will be paid from appearing in typing test. 
  •  The applications form should be filled complete in all respect by giving correct information. Defective and incomplete applications and those with wrong or false information will be rejected. 
  •  Candidates who fulfill the conditions to the satisfaction of the special recruitment committee shall be required to appear for scrutiny of document in the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Shimla HP at their own cost.

How To Apply:

 The application alongwith relevant supporting documents on the enclosed application form should reach in the office of Deputy Commissioner, Shimla, District Shimla on or before 20-07-2022. The applications received after the last date or found incomplete will be rejected summarily. A separate application form should be filled for each post and only one application may be sent in one envelope. If in case new posts of these categories are created/ vacated during the calendar year 2022, the same will be filled up from the waiting list prepared at the time of selection of posts being advertised. If there is any decrease or increase in the norms of posts the same will be filled accordingly.
