Iranian embassy opens in Saudi Arabia after seven years:-The Iranian embassy has been opened in the capital Riyadh after a gap of seven years under an agreement to restore Iran's diplomatic relations with Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabian newspaper 'Okaj' gave this information on Thursday quoting sources. Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdolhian and Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud met in China last week and signed an agreement on the restoration of diplomatic relations and preparations for the opening of diplomatic missions. Both the Foreign Ministers also agreed to resume direct flights between the two countries. The embassy opening came hours after Riyadh announced the arrival of the Iranian delegation on Wednesday.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry sent a technical delegation from Tehran to Riyadh on Tuesday to prepare for the opening of the Iranian embassy in the Saudi Arabian capital and the consulate in Jeddah.
