Prime Minister Modi will flag off Rajasthan's first Vande Bharat Express
Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagging off Rajasthan's first Bande Bharat Express train at 11 am on Wednesday. Will leave which will connect Delhi Cantt to Ajmer. It is said to be the world's first semi-high speed passenger train to run on the new Vande Bharat Highrise (high) overhead electric (OHE) route section. Modi will flag off this train through video conference. On this occasion, Railway, Communications, Electronics and Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnav will be present in the program organized in Jaipur. According to a release from the Prime Minister's Office, on the first day this train will run between Jaipur-Delhi Cantt Railway Station and its regular service will start on Thursday, 13 April. This train will run between Ajmer and Delhi Cantt with stops at Jaipur, Alwar and Gurgaon in between and will take 60 minutes less than Shatabdi Express running on this route.
The Ajmer-Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express will be the world's first semi-high speed passenger train to run on the Highrise Overhead Electric (OHE) section. This will be the 14th passenger train of the indigenous Vande Bharat series with state-of-the-art facilities and technology in the country. The Prime Minister had inaugurated two Vande Bharat trains between Tirupati and Chennai-Secunderabad Coimbatore last weekend. The new Vande Bharat Express will cover the distance between Delhi Cantt and Ajmer in five hours and 15 minutes.
