Candidates with extraordinary achievements in other related areas of Biosciences and bioengineering are also encouraged to apply. The candidates will assist in growing IIT Mandi's Biosciences and Bioengineering program in innovative research areas. IIT Mandi promotes an interdisciplinary culture and Faculty members can collaborate with faculty in other areas of engineering, basic sciences and Humanities and social sciences. Also, with its location in the Himalayas, IIT Mandi provides unique opportunities for research on socially-relevant technologies for the Himalayan region. IIT Mandi reserves the right to consider screening of candidates in specific areas as per the prevailing needs of the School. A Ph.D. degree is necessary for a faculty position at IIT Mandi. Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis recently or are close to completing their Ph.D. degree may also apply for the post of Assistant Professor Grade-II.
